FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about materials, quantities, sizes, artwork, proofing, pricing, production and shipping.

These are the questions that most often come up before a custom-label order moves into artwork review and production.

What kinds of labels does Labelay make?

Labelay focuses on custom roll labels for product packaging, including bottles, jars, candles, cosmetics, food and beverage products, soap and general packaging applications.

Which materials are available?

Current material options include White Film, Clear Film, Paper, Silver Metallic, Gold Metallic and Holographic labels. See the Material Guide for practical differences.

Are the labels waterproof?

Film label materials are generally better suited to moisture and handling than paper, but performance depends on the package, adhesive, exposure conditions and application. If the label will face refrigeration, condensation, oils or repeated water exposure, tell us before ordering.

Can I order multiple designs in one bulk run?

Yes, when the designs share compatible specifications such as material, size and finish. You can choose the number of designs and allocate quantities to uploaded artwork files during configuration.

Do you offer custom sizes and shapes?

Yes. The ordering flow supports common shapes and custom dimensions. Unusual shapes or applications may require a review before production.

What artwork files can I upload?

The artwork flow accepts common print and image formats including PDF, AI, EPS, SVG, PSD, PNG and JPG. Vector or high-resolution print-ready files are preferred whenever possible.

Do you check artwork before production?

Yes. Artwork is reviewed for common production issues. We may request a corrected file or approval if something could materially affect the printed result.

Is the instant price final?

For standard configurations, the displayed price is calculated from the specifications you enter. Artwork issues, unusual constructions or specifications outside the online pricing range can require a custom quote before production.

When does production begin?

Production starts after the order and production-ready artwork are confirmed. Typical production is 1–4 business days after the order is ready for production. Artwork questions or requested changes can extend the pre-production stage.

How long will shipping take?

Typical carrier transit is 1–5 business days after shipment unless checkout or order communication shows a different service estimate. Production time and carrier transit time are separate parts of the schedule; see Shipping & Turnaround for the workflow.

Can I change or cancel a custom order?

Contact us as quickly as possible. Once a custom order has entered production, changes or cancellations may no longer be possible. See the Refund, Reprint & Cancellation Policy for the applicable terms.

What if I am not sure which material to choose?

Use the Material Guide or contact Labelay with the package type, environment and look you are trying to achieve.

Send us the package and project details and we’ll point you in the right direction.
