Choose the right material for the way your product is used
The best label material depends on the container, environment and look you want. Labelay starts with three practical launch materials so the choice stays simple.
White BOPP
A white polypropylene film with a clean print surface and good resistance to moisture and everyday handling. It is a strong all-around choice for bottles, jars, candles, cosmetics, food packaging and personal-care products.

Clear BOPP
A transparent polypropylene film for brands that want the package itself to remain visible. It creates a clean, premium no-label look on clear or colored containers.

Paper
A classic label material for dry applications where film-level moisture resistance is not necessary. Paper can be a good fit for candle jars, boxes, bags, dry goods and retail packaging.

Gloss or matte?
Gloss creates a brighter, more reflective surface and can make colors feel more vivid. Matte reduces reflection and gives the label a softer, understated finish. The final finish options offered at checkout will be matched to the selected production material.
Not sure?
If your product will be refrigerated, exposed to condensation, handled with wet hands or used in a bathroom environment, film such as BOPP is generally the safer starting point. Final material compatibility should also be checked against the actual container and use conditions before a large production run.
